About Us

Welcome to MathGen, an application created by Shay Manor and Elan Smyla, two undergraduate CS students at Purdue University. Growing up in the heart of Silicon Valley, we were surrounded by cutting-edge technology and constant advancements, inspiring us to approach the world with an innovative eye. When beginning the Hello World hackathon, we thought back to the past, present, and future needs of both ourselves and people worldwide, settling on an idea that aims to improve the education sector.

Motivated by a desire to make learning math more accessible and engaging, we dedicated ourselves to extensive research into APIs, AWS, cloud computing, UI, and many more new concepts. This program is the culmination of our efforts, designed to help users input complex math equations and receive detailed video explanations. We believe that understanding math should be an enjoyable experience, and we are excited to share our creation with you.
